WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I am based in Michigan. I'm available worldwide and love to travel!
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
I’m a wedding and portrait photographer with a love for natural light and beautiful scenery. Using an approach that combines documentary and fine art, I describe my style as natural, real and romantic. I like to capture your most intimate and organic moments as your day naturally unfolds. I also direct and compose my couples in certain situations in order to create something beautiful.
DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?
Yes, I know several respectable photographers willing and ready to be my second shooter if that is what you desire. A second photographer is not a necessity, but they can provide you with more shots and a different perspective.
HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU SHOOT?
I never book two weddings on the same day, and I only book up to 30 weddings a year to ensure that I give my clients 110% of my attention.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?
This varies depending on how many hours i'm there and if you book a second shooter. Typically couples can expect to receive on average 400-800 fully edited images delivered both on their USB and uploaded to their online gallery.
WHEN WILL WE GET TO SEE OUR PHOTOS?
Each image is hand selected and edited to tell the story of your wedding day. This entire process takes anywhere from 6-8 weeks. Engagement sessions are typically finished within 4 weeks.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I shoot with two top quality Canon camera bodies along with the finest quality lenses.
DO YOU BRING YOUR OWN LIGHTING?
I prefer natural lighting over artificial, but I always bring a Canon speedlight for on and off camera flash just in case.
CAN I GIVE YOU A LIST OF SHOTS WE WOULD LIKE?
Many wedding blogs and planning tools will advise giving your photographer a ‘shot list’, with important moments to photograph on your wedding day. While this is understandable, a professional wedding photographer knows the important parts of the wedding day by heart. Remember, trust is key! Having to look at a piece of paper all day will only be distracting. You want your photographer to be immersed in the day and free to photograph moments in a more dynamic way, as they happen. If you’re set on providing a ‘shot list’, keep it minimal. For example, I always ask my couples for a list of the family members needed for group photos or any décor details that are especially important to you or your family.
HOW DO WE BOOK?
Dates are first come first serve, so the earlier you inquire the better. The signed contract along with a 50% retainer is required to reserve your date.
Once booking with me, we will go over any questions you have and you will receive more detailed information. Have a question you want answered now? Just fill an inquiry and i’ll be happy to answer it. :)
